jill colchester

Jill Colchester is a practising artist and tutor. Her works are generally, though not exclusively, drawings and paintings based on the figure. She also works collaboratively on community-based projects.

The diverse quality of line is what attracts Jill to drawing, from the economy of minimal line drawing, sparse in appearance, to dynamic mark-making, rich in tones.

Besides her contemporary dance training, Jill initially studied in education and taught in Primary schools in London before moving to Oxfordshire where she obtained her BA in Fine Art.

She currently tutors with the Adult Learning faculty of Abingdon&Witney College

latest news:  BARELY THERE exhibition planned for PremArt in Berlin was postponed due to Covid. It can now be seen with  Oxfordshire Artweeks in Chadlington at site 20 and in the virtual Oxfordshire Artweeks online gallery.
